Paintings from my Serenity Series will be displayed in this exhibit featuring not only my paintings but also those of other notable local artists. I began painting the Serenity Series during the pandemic when finding a sense of peace was essential. Lotus grow in the mud but remain unstained and thus have borne symbolism since the time of the Egyptians of goodness, purity and regeneration. So that metaphor came into the studio with me with the thought that no matter what life may lay before us, we can meet it with honesty, trust and the courage to move forward in a positive way. I continue to work on more paintings in the Serenity Series and hope that you will be pleased that I have done so. Enjoy the exhibit!
